The web is a unique medium

You have access to the world, millions of new potential customers for your products and information.   But consider that those potential customers do not have the benefit of touching, feeling, tasting or holding your products; you cannot respond directly to their questions, using only written and visual content your site must provide visitors the information to decide on your products, to hopefully want to visit you again, and to eventually trust you with their money.   

 

We find nearly everyone starts their website design or redesign process focusing on the appeal of the graphics, color schemes, navigation and layouts; and rightly so, as for many potential customers this will be the face of your business; in many cases the only face they will see.  However focusing exclusively on the visual elements ignores many of the factors that actual users indicate will cause them to return to your site and buy your products.
